The work is painted directly in front of the model, using loaded brushes with several colours. I do not sketch the model, just jump right into the canvas!
Later I rework areas; bringing in movement by covering areas/ creating layers, adding to the dynamic expression. The surface becomes tactile adding to the sculptural effect.
